Coffs Independent News reports success of RYMarine 09

THERE is no better place than Coffs Harbour to host an event that aims to better equip school students with marine biology and ideas for future marine-based careers.

With the presence of the National Marine Science Centre, sport diving charter businesses, the spectacular marine life off the Solitary Islands and businesses that manage the commercial and environmental concerns of coastal waters, Coffs Harbour is host to the popular annual youth educational event run by the Rotary Club of Coffs Harbour Daybreak.

Rotary offers inside look at marine life careers

The Coffs Coast Independent Newspaper is supporting Rotary by running this excellent articile about RyMarine - 30/7/09

"A PROGRAM aimed at introducing students to a possible marine-based career will be offered by the Rotary Club of Coffs Harbour Daybreak later this year.
Through its Rymarine program, the Rotary club has provided a platform for the past three years for Year 10-11 students to have access to people involved in marine-based industries in Coffs Harbour.
The club’s new generations director Mark Spencer said the four-day residential program from October 29 would illustrate some amazing choices students had in the marine field."
